Dr. Transtrum

Yeah, you've probably heard already, but Mark is officially Dr. Transtrum now. If you hadn't heard, here's the memo. I was so excited that he was done and felt like I should yell it at the whole world. But then we had to hurry and leave town that same night to drive to Houston. We were so super busy for weeks, and then it kind of lost its affect. But it is pretty amazing to think that the PhD era is over, and strange to think that our time in Ithaca really is done. Five years used to sound like such a long time. Two years used to feel like such a long time. We'll be done with Houston in a blink! 

I wish we would have taken pictures of Mark with his advisor (Jim Sethna) and the other professors on his committee. But it was hard keeping Camilla in line, and we just don't think about the camera so much these days. We did snap this after Mark was done defending (hence the un-tucked shirt).
