Mark read somewhere on the internet that this August has had record-breaking heat in Houston. It's been over 100 degrees for 10-12 days or something (basically the whole time we've been here.) We expected it to be hot. And we're surviving it okay. Everywhere you go there is air conditioning. It's amazing how nice your home can feel when you keep the thermostat at 78. Practically frigid when coming in from 104 plus humidity. It does make some things pretty unbearable. Washing laundry in the garage. Getting in the car to go anywhere. Brushing your teeth in the middle of the day when the 'cold' tap water is too hot to rinse your mouth. Taking walks around the block at anytime of the day (even morning). Camilla wants to be outside all the time. She does not get her way very often, and it's usually a compromise--going to a store. We decided she needed a pool, and she is in love with it. There are only two bad things: 1) it's not big enough for all of us and 2) the yard is full of fire ants that like to nibble on our toes while we watch her swim. But we do enjoy putting our feet in the cool-ish water and listening to her laugh as she splashes about.

I wish you'd blog this often all the time :) I love seeing all the updates and cute pics/videos of Camilla. She is getting soooo big and just too cute! I guess a trip to Houston is in order so Camilla and Paisley can play....but, we'll wait till it cools down a bit :)
