You might be surprised to hear that there are farms near Houston. You might have to drive an hour to get to one, but they do exist. There is one called Oil Ranch that caters to the small children crowd by offering things like pony rides and petting zoos. Millie and I headed out there on Wednesday with a group of mothers from church for a playgroup. I was really excited to have something new to do with Camilla, though I was in pain all day the next day from lugging her around when her little legs just wouldn't get her around fast enough. It was a fun outing, though I think she'll appreciate it more if we try to go again next year and she can participate in more things that she was just too small for this year. She did NOT want to leave when it was time to go, but I was too tired to let her stay longer and she zonked as soon as we drove away. I only wished I could have napped on the way home, too.
I was hesitant to let her ride the pony, but they let me walk with her (and she would have definitely been jostled off if I hadn't been right there!)
Checking out some cows
Petting a lamb with Nathan
Riding the train
The bouncy house was the highlight for Millie
This swing came in a close second
Pointing at the goat!
Running away from the goat! (He thought she might have food to share.)
Okay, we can be friends
The very friendly billy-goat was also hoping for some food.

Oh my these pictures are so cute. I am in awe at how much hair she has now! It decided to GROW! She's very cute with the animals - I have been wanting to take Paisley to a petting farm like this, but wasn't sure if she would appreciate it. Very fun.
I just lover her in that hat.
