Swimming Lessons

I signed Camilla up for baby swimming lessons because I have about 4 swimming suits that she's never had a chance to wear (thanks to having a cousin 4 months older than her). Oh, and because I'm a first-time mom who thinks things like 'baby swimming lessons' sound like good ideas. Our first lesson was on Saturday. Camilla loved swimming around in the water and smiling at Daddy who didn't want anything to do with a lukewarm swimming pool. We didn't catch the smiling on camera so much, but believe me when I say she was happy. About halfway through the actual 'lesson', she was getting pretty cold and her teeth were chattering. Poor kid. And can I just tell you how hard it is to get changed after swimming when you are wet and your baby is wet, and there is no WAY you're about to set your baby down on the nasty floor in the dressing room? However, we will press on for the next four weeks since we don't have a lot of regular activities to get us out of the house and because it cost us $45 to try to teach our baby how to blow bubbles in the water. Also, I feel obligated to mention something about unthrilled I am to show off my rockin' body in a bathing suit, but then you might assume I was looking for validation. I swear, I'm not. Instead, you should check out this little lady's killer eyelashes which look even longer when wet. I can't go out in public without being told how beautiful her eyes are, and I think it has a lot to do with those gorgeous lashes.

Oh yes her eyes are beautiful, I think how big they are too make them even more beautiful! I remember the first time we took the kids to swim too and it was the biggest pain to get them both changed while everyone was wet. And the family dressing room was freezing!

Nick would be proud. He's very insistent that babies should love water. Miss Camilla is so dang cute! She really does have such beautiful eyes. Love her. Love you guys.

I love her swimsuit. I can't believe she is almost one. She is going to be playing on the playground this summer!
